Tower over me

Silence…It drips through the soul like a waterfall,

Loneliness that tints the life with its chill,

The voice that echos across the mountains when you call,

Was enough to bring me warmth.

I care and I care not, that you are not yet mine,

I’ll soak up the company that you offer to me,

i’ll sit patiently waiting and binding my time,

I know not if you’ll arrive.

These rare smiles, that you to me bless,

Lift me high out of the abyss,

Yet when you go, you drop me, you leave my mind a mess,

So be kind to me if you are aware, if not then continue in your bliss,

For I wont tell you what it is that you mean to me.

Eyes Cry For A Liars Goodbye

I can’t do it,
I can’t fake that there is no tear there,
No moisture leaking in my eye.

My mind it screams, it aches,
My smile it builds, it fades,
You, I hope do not lie.

This situation i’ve been in before,
This time I plead is different,
I don’t want to bare a similar goodbye.

Perhaps I am being too cautious,
Perhaps I am reading in too much,
But please, do not allow your words to make me cry.

I see what you would hide

I see you where others do not,

Where the pencil diverges off, abandoning what you really are,

Captured by the fireworks, the show, the masks, the display,

I do not take that route,

Do not get me wrong, I see it, it is very pretty,

What a wonderful masquerade you show off.

-

But I, I see the real jewel, the beauty that has fallen down,

The glowing in your eye when others see the smile,

That tear that you blink back,

That absence as your mind drifts by,

It is that which caught my attention, it is that I understand.

-

Do not feel ashamed, of the cracks that you start to show,

The chip in the paint work that you fear others might judge,

It is that I like, that that makes you human.

-

And yet for all that beauty I see in you,

I refuse to let you see it in me,

To let you in the inner wall but where the jesters still feed,

Greeted by the iron gate that will not open the way,

My mind is shut off to you, to everyone and it has always been that way.

Dream out of it

She sits,
Her breath draws into the hollow of her lungs,
But her eyes they do not dance.
Fixed, drawn onto a point of nowhere,
What she sees is in her head.

Her lips pull down in a sorrowful look,
But she is not sad inside,
Just her thoughts have run off,
And so off the mask flies,
Leaving the blankness dreaming in its place.

The rest around her laugh,
Little do they notice her absence,
Maybe seconds fly or minutes,
Time is of no concern,
For where she wanders she wanders freely,
She wanders blissfully alone.

Do you want me, Do I want you?

As your eyes dance down to meet with mine,

I am left with that same curious question of why,

What is it you see in this face that only makes me run from the mirror,

What keeps you listening to this nonsense chatter?

I’ve lost my tongue to my words,

I no longer know what I’m saying,

Yet you are smiling,

You are still here.

Is this feeling in my stomach as my heart fakes to pull for you,

A genuine expression of my feelings?

Or am I carried away with flattery that you want me here?

In the mist of all this dancing in my mind,

Of the thoughts and tangles left in here,

What I am asking is,

Is it you that I want here?
